USC Thornton and Trojan Family in Taipei

<p>The USC Global Conference was held Oct. 13-15 in Hong Kong. Regional cultural events were held in conjunction with the conference in other parts of Asia.</p>

<p>Thornton School of Music alumni performed to a sold out audience in Taipei, Taiwan at the National Recital Hall. The two hour concert included works by Mozart, Rossini and Rachmaninoff. Nine alumni brought the audience to their feet at the conclusion of the concert with a bossa nova verson of the SC Alma Mater and an arrangement of Conquest for Two Pianos, Viola, Clarinet, Flute, Harp and Percussion.</p>

<p>Dean Robert Cutietta of the Thornton School of Music remarked, "It was a great night for USC in Taipei."</p>

<p>Students from the Thornton School of Music also performed for delegates to the USC Global Conference at an evening event which was also sold out.</p>
