USC Thornton Musicians to Perform with Elton John at Emmy Awards

<p>The Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday evening, September 22, 2013. Sir Elton John will perform his song "Home Again". Musicians from the USC Thornton School of Music will accompany him during the performance.</p>

<p>Recently Elton John appeared in concert at Bovard Auditorium on the SC campus as part of the Visions and Voices series.</p>

<p>Thornton musicians were acknowledged at the Emmy Awards. Michael Douglas remarked on their performance and the young musicians received a loud round of applause from the audience at the Nokia Center in Los Angeles.</p>

<p>The producer of the Emmy Award show stated the estimated TV audience at 30 million.</p>
