USC transfer...but I don't have a GED or a HS diploma

Thank you in advance

I'm currently a community college student and I want to apply to transfer into the mass comm program within the next year or two..

I have a slight problem though. i did not graduate from HS. i left my sophomore year with the california HS equivalent. its kind of like a GED but its not, only applicable in the state of california

Do you think USC would look down upon this? I don't know if they even accept it or not...I did horribly in HS but I'm excelling at junior college right now and I love it.

Thank you so very much :)

Call them and ask. If you have over 30 units they will only base their decision off of your college record.

My two cents: you are allowed to enter USC without a high school diploma BUT if you go onto their transfer website, I remember reading something about them requiring that you finish a certain amount of years of Math and English.

Despite this, I believe that by law they must acknowledge your HS Equivalent. Play it safe and call them up.
