[li] Comments: I’ll definitely be applying again next year once I have more units under my belt. I didn’t take the SATs because I tested out of high school early. Because I didn’t have 30 units, it’s possible that this was a deal breaker for me. I did receive a Spring Grade request and had a 4.0 that semester. [/li][/ul]

[ *] Essays (subject and responses): I wrote about how going to a fairly rural state made me desire a more connected family /atmosphere. It forced me to see outside my hometown bubble and look beyond the superficial aspects of life. I want that connected family and I thought the Trojan family greatly fulfills that desire. I also added how my current institution didn’t really have that school spirit USC had.

[ *] Comments: Wow. This is so surreal filling this out. I seriously thought I would not get in. But I think I really showed them my desire to go to the school. Don’t give up. As I’m sure everyone can see my gpa is pretty darn low. However, by emailing USC and trying to explain the situation/ show my passion to go there I think I increased my chances. But it’s too difficult to say. My best advice is no matter what obstacles get in your way, fight them and perseverance is key! If you truly want to go to a school, you’ll be willing to put in the effort and deal with the pains that come with it. Best of luck to all of you!

[li] Comments: I think it all comes down to your essay and how “suitable” you are for the college you are applying for. My highschool GPA wasn’t high and I didn’t have high SAT scores. In college, I tried really hard and was a full time student with a job. Like many students who got in this year, I made a lot of sacrifices for school and took rigorous courses. I really didn’t think I was going to get in, but I’m super happy I’m part of the Trojan Family now. I am planning to double major in public relations and art history and have notified the counselors of my decision. CC has helped me a lot and thank god for the members on CC!! Thanks for all your support guys, I’m happy to start Spring with you all! [/li][/ul]

Hey guys,

I am actually applying to USC this year for Fall 2011. I am really confused about LOR’s so i thought i’d ask the people who already got in. I am getting a letter of recommendation from a teacher. I am pretty sure we put the address as the admissions office address…but how do they know which letter belongs to which student? I am applying to the school of Policy, planning, and development, and can not find any letter service. Does anyone know how they know which letter is for which student?? What if two people have the same name…how do they know which student it was meant for?

Thanks guys!
