USC transfer

Hi I am applying as a transfer to USC but missed the Oct 16th deadline. Am I at a disadvantage now?

what's the oct 16th deadline? Part 1?

I don't think it's a big disadvantage, if it even helps at all to send it in (it's optional, right? someone else confirm?). You might even be able to contact the office of admission and ask if you can still send it in now, they actually might let you (though they probably won't give you the discount on the fees)

It says part 1 is optional but I was reading other threads that said that sending it in by that deadline shows serious interest I suppose. What do you think? I don't really care about the discount fee i just want to know if this will affect my application at all as a transfer student. Thanks !

transfer students, they primarily look at your college GPA and college course selection. If you don't have at least a year's worth of college coursework, then they'll look at other things also (like SAT and HS GPA)

Don't worry; it won't affect your admission:

"If you choose not to submit the Part I, or miss the deadline, you should begin the USC application process with Part II. Be assured that the part I is optional and the lack of a Part I will in no way affect your admission."
