Usc Transfer

Why does USC require your highschool transcript if you're applying as a transfer student of junior status?
Does this mean that if your senior grades in HS kind of sucked, you're screwed?

I've heard two, slighly different reasons:

If you have more than 30 hours, they will not weigh your HS stats heavily, but will still look at them in deciding.

If you have more than 30 hours, they will focus entirely on your college work, and perhaps need the transcript just for verification purposes.

Either way, if you have more than 30 credits and a good college GPA it shouldn't be a problem. Although, if there was a significant issue that plagued you during those years, you may want to mention it.

Best of luck :)

What is a good college gpa for a transfer?

According to the brochure on their website, the avg. admitted transfer GPA last year was 3.7. Of course, that says nothing about the range.

I had a 3.69 with mostly natural science courses from an honors program at a tier two school and got Spring admission.
