do any of you guys know if usc allows spring quarter transfers. i'm currently going to ucla but ive been considering sc. thanks

Hey luckyjun127,

Congratulations on coming to your senses. Anyways, I know USC admits some transfers for spring semester, but these students are usually those who applied for fall and were let in during spring. I'm sure you could always apply for fall and then just defer admission to spring, as I know a friend who has done so, but I'm not sure if you can apply directly for spring admission.

anyone else have any input

i transfered from UC Riverside and all of my coursework transfered over. So yes, they do accept UC coursework. Unfortunately, you'll have to take your total quarter units and divide that by 1.5 to get the amount of semester units you'll receive at USC. for example, if you have 45 quarter units, you would then have 30 semester units.

what gpa should i maintain at ucla to have a good shot at usc business admin.

how many tranfers does USC take in a year??

I'm in business administration (as a transfer student) and I had a 3.45 at UCR. It took them 3 days to make a decision on my application after I sent in my spring quarter grades. I think if you get a 3.4 at a UC, you're pretty much guaranteed to get in.

USC takes in about 2,000 transfer students out of 6,000 applicants. I'm not sure if these numbers are correct because I'm too lazy to find out.

I think for this year 05-06 the number of applicants surpassed 7000 and around 2000 were accepted. I remember an admissions person say they received much more transfer apps than usual.
