Do USC undergrads receive any special preference when applying to USC for grad school (engineering)? Though Stanford would be "higher ranked in engineering", would graduating Stanford hold a greater weight than a student who graduates from USC undergrad when applying for grad school at USC?

If you are a USC engineering undergrad with a decent GPA you can do the progressive degree program, which is a fast track combined 5 year BS/MS, no GRE required. Most people who meet GPA requirements seem to get in.

Even if not part of the pdp, USC undergrads get other perks like admissions fee waiver

Awesome. Thanks for the reply.

Generally, what percent of USC engineering undergrads get accepted to this program? What GPA would be a competitive applicant?

Sorry if these questions are somewhere on the website, but I googled the program and all it lists is the application and the procedures to apply.

The minimum gpa to apply is 3.2, but I don’t know any statistics on how many are accepted. I get the impression the program exists to encourage USC undergrads to stay for their masters degree.

If you don’t meet the criteria for the pdp, you can always apply to the regular masters program though the normal application. The regular masters program takes a bit longer to complete and you would have to take the GRE, but you still get incentives like waived application fee.
