Hello, I was accepted to these colleges (Undeclared major), and am having a hard time deciding where to attend.

Although I haven't made a concrete decision on my major, I was thinking of studying Business or Communications (So if I were to attend USC or NYU, I'll attempt internal transfer).

USC
Pros:
Both Marshall School of Business and Annenberg School of Communications are well known
Great weather
Internal transfer is not that difficult
Cons:
The party-school image
Bad location

Colgate
Pros:
Overall academic prestige
Close-knit community
Cons:
Does not offer business majors
Does not offer communications majors

NYU
Pros:
Set in center of New York
Stern School of Business
Cons:
Internal transfer is very difficult
Has no campus

I'm an international student, and money is not really an issue for me.
I'm probably going to attend graduate schools after.

I just wanted to hear other people's opinions.
Where would you go, and why?

Colgate doesn’t offer either of your majors so… LOL.I would go to NYU because you’re well-off financially and might as well enjoy that by going to New York City. USC is a good choice, too. It doesn’t really matter, you can’t go wrong.

But I’m also planning to go to graduate schools…
Also, when I’m saying that money’s not an issue, I just mean that I have enough to pay for college. I’m not planning on squandering my parents’ money.

If you were in Stern, I’d say go there, but transferring in is unlikely. The rest of NYU I feel is overrated, the academic quality is somewhat watered down IMO and there is no cohesive campus feel. The main benefit of the school is simply being in NYC would help with going on interviews for internships.

USC, is a solid all around school, and they have business so that is a consideration.

Colgate would probably have the smartest students of the three – you could major in economics and supposedly they have a loyal alumni network.

It could help… How are you going to go to a college sight unseen? None of these colleges would be “squandering” your parents’ money if you can afford it. I personally would choose whichever of these is the cheapest, but you didn’t say how much (if any) aid you got.

Grad schools won’t care among the three. All are highly thought-of.

While I like 'Gate, for an international, it is better to attend a school that is known outside of the US borders. ('Gate also has a party-school image, btw.)

An international would likely also prefer a big city, which makes travel easier and you’ll find more peeps. That narrows it down to NYU and USC. Manhattan or inner-city LA? (And the area around 'SC is getting much better.)

Do you like sports? School spirit? Or a library type? Do you have money to go clubbing on weekends?

I would opt for USC or NYU - and it’s really about New York vs L.A. and whether you want a more traditional American college experience which you would get at USC vs NYU. That said, it would be incredible to live in New York, especially as an international student. In L.A. you need a car - although public transportation is getting better, but I would consider what you really want in way of an experience.
