USC vs. SCU?

Hi all, I'm a HS senior deciding which school to go to for undergrad business. USC was my #1 and I was lucky enough to get in to Marshall, but I just checked my FA awards and I'm expected to pay 45k a year to attend. On the other hand, another school I was interested in was SCU and I was awarded an essentially full ride FA package to attend the Leavey School of Business. I think both are great schools but I had USC as my #1, and it is ranked far better on US News although it is only one spot ahead on Business week rankings. My family would be able to pay for USC but it would be extremely difficult. Does anyone have any advice? I want to attend USC but I'm unsure if it makes sense to do so financially. Can I call USC and try to appeal my FA awards?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

PLEASE read the many posts from alamemom regarding the financial aid notifications. The packages are still being assembled. When YOUR package is ready you will receive an e-mail telling you to check your package online. In addition, USC will send you the details in WRITING by mail.

We are happy you are considering SC, but do wait a bit until you receive the e-mail before making a decision due to financial considerations. Commit day is not until May1.

I had the same dilemma and chose USC
Do I think it’s worth a $200k difference? Probably not
SCU is very small compared to USC and has a different culture (as does every school); I think there’s more going on at USC and around LA and thus I think the social life is much better. However I did grow up near SCU and kind of got tired of the area.
Both place well into regional investment banks/big4/etc; where do you want to work?
