we also have to keep in mind, regarding the exceptions, that USC will try their best to correct any mistakes they made the previous year. It’s hard to rely on last year’s patterns.

In SoCal, no letter today.

Last year it was some of the accepted international students who posted first with initial news. They posted after receiving the DHL email (which meant that their acceptance packages had been shipped).

I’m from SoCal (2 hours away from USC) - no letter today.

I got into USC Marshall School of Business as Business Administration major today! My coach has strong ties with the admissions office at USC as he used to compete there and he was able to find out my admissions status! After being wait-listed at UCLA and rejected at Northwestern this is such a relief! Good luck to everyone!

Quick run through of my stats:
Around a 3.7 UW 4.15W with 1st semester senior year grades (Strong upward trend)
31 ACT 30M/34E/31R/29S
700 Math II Sat II
STRONG EC’s (Top 10 in state for hurdling in track in field both events)
USC hosts the MESA program at my school and my team of 6 won the Jet Propulsion Laboratory Invention Challenge Competition this year
Ranked 29/562 in my class
5 AP’s taken including 3 senior year

Could potentially be recruited by USC’s track and field team.

Congrats Prodiggy11! That’s big hurdle you got over. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)

I’m fairly confident us socal residents will get letters on the 28th haha

i was checking last year’s usc regular decision thread. it appears as though many accepted students’ USC CONNECT (portal) changed a few days before they received letters. it didn’t say anything about being admitted, but those who were accepted had boxes under “Admission” that said “Pay your enrollment deposit” and “accepted student event.” does anyone see such changes on the portal?

Not me. It is still the same.

How long till it gets to Virginia?

The University of Southern California is pleased to offer the ability of students to receive online messages regarding the status of their application. However, all decision notifications are made via postal mail.

We have received your Common Application and USC Supplement, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st. We often like to see the mid-year grades of freshman applicants. If you have not already done so, please submit your final, fall term marks when they become available. Submit a Mid Year Report school form, or click “Mid-Year Grades” in USConnect. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will mail a written request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly.

Here is what it said for me in the application status.

Congrat Prodiggy – what was the post mark date?

oh nevermind…you said your coach found out.

congrats prodiggy! we have similar stats (minus the track ties but a little bit higher ACT scores :D) which makes me feel a lot more optimistic about myself. enjoy the moment!

Thanks guys! Yeah someone inside admissions texted me coach my status so I don’t have my official acceptance letter in hand yet. Good luck indy!

thanks brother…assuming you’re a guy hahaha

Congrats Prodigy! How nice to know already!

An admissions officer called my counselor last week asking questions about me, to which my counselor responded with very complimentary anecdotes and adjectives. The conversation ended with the officer stating “You’ve given me all I need to know.”

Should I gather anything from this? I have acceptances to UVA and UCLA, if it’s any indication. Sorry; I just cannot wait!!

Ah if they did mail scholarship letters on Friday SoCal people should have gotten them today I’m guessing that they’ll get to NorCal by Wednesday? Sigh the wait is torturous
