Funny, you are too. Pot calling the kettle black much? This thread was at the top and I clicked on it. I wasn’t the one who bumped it, but you can keep making irrelevant claims if you want to?

It’s also really great that you researched when I was born just so you would have SOMETHING to call me out on, because there isn’t anything else, purely so that you could try and make an unrelated point. No, I was born in 1989, and yes I do remember where people went to school because I’m still friends with them. I’m not gonna lie, I hate USC with an undying passion and I’ll come out and say it openly, but I also am not a fan of UCLA either.

There is plenty else, but nothing worth commenting - just your personal anecdote - many students on this forum have posted their own anecdotes showing students choosing USC over the other schools you mention.

I do not think it is unrelated or irrelevant to note that someone 30 years old is posting as though they are a high school student - though now I have researched further and watched the JCPenney video you suggested in another post and you do not appear to be 30. It seems you made an error in your birthdate when you created your profile.

Haha damn you are creepy. Nah, that isn’t me either, I’m not asian. It’s the video I thought deserved to win, and my younger brother’s friend. I’m not 30, I’m 20, but thanks.

And if there is plenty else, then why didn’t you pick it? Why not pick something that is actually relevant to this argument. I was asking for Hawkwings’ evidence, and I’m still waiting. If he posts it, then I’ll stand corrected and I’ll eat my words, fully acknowledging I’m wrong. Until then though, keep posting worthless things

Hawkwings evidence would be the same as mine - and for that matter, the same as yours - anecdotal evidence of students we personally know choosing USC over other schools. My anecdote would be my daughter - valedictorian of her class - who chose USC over Berkeley and UCLA (among others).

I don’t believe any of those anecdotes have anything to do with the relative quality of the schools mentioned - they are simply each of our personal experiences. One would have to gather thousands of responses from a random sample for those stories to have any “relevance.”

Oh, and of course that isn’t you in that video.

Ahhh thank you, that’s what I was looking for. You may not find it relevant, but I do. to each their own, it may not carry weight to you but it does for other people.

and no it isnt me, he’s a cute kid though, but you can believe it’s me all you want. i’ll take the compliment because then it means im both good looking and musically talented.

@sharkfin…i chose usc over dartmouth, duke, uchicago, vandy, emory, and a whole mess of other schools. i didn’t apply to berkeley or ucla, but i’m sure if i did i could hav gotten in and i still would hav chose usc over them. :)

@sharkfin I also chose USC over UCLA, Berkeley, and Rice… and I know other people who chose USC as well. My friend got Regents to UCLA and/or Berkeley (is it possible to get Regents to more than 1 school? I don’t remember) yet chose to pay full price to attend USC. My other friend got into Berkeley and UCLA and NOT USC - and his top choice was USC. Heck, one of my friends even got into STANFORD and chose USC, NO LIE.

Sigh. This is pathetic, and I’m a Trojan >_>;;

Stop it with these stupid rankings. If you think USC is a good school, THAT’S GREAT FOR YOU! YOU KNOW THAT! Now, go make it so that other TROJANS know that by leading a group of students in a direction towards humanitarianism and school spirit (and not in a way that we should degrade Bruins). Some friendly rivalery and jokes are fine like, “Why Bruin your life” or Conquest because the former is just a witty use of the mascot (haha, I just find it cute, sorry – totally don’t believe it) and the latter makes it so that students are pumped up and united. Don’t go on these forums and post stupidity. All ranking systems are bias and do not accurately reflect the true value of any institution.

Sigh. I agreed with username-deleted. Get a life.

EDIT: Haha. Sorry!!!
My post seems like I’m attacking some of the immediate posts before me.

I didn’t realize that this thread had 3 pages Ek! The post was directed towards the original poster… and sort of sharkfin since he/she revived this thread. Oops. Apologies!

And sharkinfin… there are a LOT of people who chose USC over higher ranking schools. My friend chose USC over Yale. It’s not an impossible thing, you know… BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE DON’T CARE ABOUT RANKINGS gasp

Sharkfin- Since you “hate USC with an undying passion”, please do us all a favor and get off this board. Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.
