what is the average gpa of a student at USC??

I’d like to know this, too.

I doubt USC publishes this info.

Freshman Class (Fall 2008)
Average GPA: 3.71 (unweighted), 4.06 (weighted)

Fall 2009: Probably 3.8!!!

when do we find out if usc ranks higher than ucla or not?? lol

Rankings can be both subjective and controversial. However, if you are interested in the “Best Colleges” edition of U.S. News it will come out in August 2009 online only. These rankings will be using data from the 2008 information.

During the admitted students reception, Mr. Brunold said that the average GPA was 3.8 and the average SAT was above 2100.

I wanted to know the average GPA of USC students for their classes.

Not official, but my explore host guessed somewhere around 3.3, give or take for more difficult/less difficult majors

I’d love to hear more if anyone knows anything.

For Fall 2008:

All-undergraduate average: 3.25
All-men’s average: 3.18
All-women’s average: 3.32

It seems you are all talking about two different things:

Average high school GPA of the USC freshman class of 2008 was 3.7UW. This is stated on the latest Freshman Profile-

Average college GPA of students attending USC is (stressed4college posted that data above- would you please post that link?)

This is what I’ve found.

I lied, my bad.

I’d really like to see a link to USC GPA published by USC- can anyone find one?

See “Freshman Class (Fall 2008)” - Average GPA: 3.71 (unweighted), 4.06 (weighted)

https://www.usc.edu/about/ataglance/

Greenery- that is the high school gpa for incoming freshman. Can anyone find a link for college gpa of current USC students?

I don’t know if it’s available online. They publish it in hard-copy to all the Greek organizations.

The 3.19 and 3.26 figure sounds about right. Lower for engineering and business. Higher for humanities, etc.

Yeah, as sfgiants said, sounds about right. Business is curved to a B/B- range, so that’d be lower. And I believe engineering/sciences are generally in that range too. Whereas humanities, GE’s, and the other courses are generally higher.

Is the average gpa for high school admits (3.8) academic gpa or total gpa? and is it the average gpa for all of the years in high school?
