Accepted today! However couldn’t seem to find any scholarship info. Hopefully just missing it…

The merit award was posted a day or two later for me. It is kind of tricky to find it. Look for the Financial Aid area, enter the correct year, then View Award. Hopefully you will see one. If not, keep checking back because
the site seems to change daily. Need-based financial aid won’t show until the end of the month or early April.

Thank you @jbourne ! Much appreciated. Was not expecting to get into USD at all so this was great!

My stats:
3.8 weighted
1950 SAT
IB Diploma
Internships + Jobs + Volunteer + Church youth groups (Catholic)
President of a couple clubs

Funny thing is. I had a phone interview back in November that was sufficiently awkward! Then a few weeks ago I was invited to do another interview because I was borderline so I am very happy that it pushed me in the right direction. Best of luck to all!

How do we find out if we were accepted? Will they notify us via e-mail, on the status tracking site, or we’ll receive the letter of acceptance in the mail spontaneously?

@MarkABautista
You can log into the status tracking site and if you have an admitted tab then you were accepted. But not everyone has received decisions yet (it depends on when you applied) and no one has received any snail mail yet. Not sure if they’ll send out an email.

kingja200 - this is for the University of San Diego, a private school, just to clarify, as many seem to confuse UCSD and SDSC, both public colleges. USD was to start notifying Feb 24 through March. I don’t think the Univ of Calif schools (UC) notify until late March. Being from New York might help as the publics are for sure looking for out-of-state tuition, and even the privates want diversity of location (however, unless you’re from more “rural” New York, that may not help. CA schools get a fair amount of urban/NYC kids.

Approximate stats (admitted son) –
3.7 unweighted
1920 SAT
Eagle Scout, tons of continuity in EC’s, including increased leadership each year, Black Belt 1st degree, from a private high school SF Bay Area

Okay, parents out there who seem to know a lot re all this, posting below from the site. Assume this means no merit or financial aid (doubt we’d qualify thru FAFSA) - I know the site has been changing day to day, but this is the first day I’ve seen this. Input? Thanks, so. Need Calculation

I did not get an offer of admission yet, but it seems that my financial aid status has a lot of info in it now. Also, there is info for me to add my parents on as contacts and for meal plans. What do you all think this means? Did they update it for everyone, or is this a possible status change before an acceptance? Also, I did not apply for any financial aid

Under the Admissions tab (not the Torero Hub tab)- do you now see ‘Announcements’ ‘Applicant’ ‘Admitted’.
If you do, click on the ‘Admitted’ tab and you should see a brief ‘Congratulations’ message. The Torero Hub tabs seem to come and go depending on the time of day. Also on the Admitted page, in the center under Financial Aid Status, mine now says ‘Your estimated cost of attendance is 59,729’. Your Financial Aid Award - Click Here

Under the Torero Hub tab, all that information was there, now it disappeared. I still don’t have an offer of admission. It’s just weird why they had all the tabs for my parents to be contacts and waivers for me to sign allowing the University to bill me when I’m not even admitted. Also, now it’s all gone.

Chubscout - look at any and all tabs – not just Torero – try everything as things are within things, click on links, etc. Assume you do not have an “admitted” tab–or is there a tab saying “admission”? We applied a little before Thanksgiving. We live in California but we have not received any email or U.S. mail (just admitted on my son’s sign-in site).

@Chubscout my D’s portal has been doing the same (tabs appearing then disappearing) since last week. Except now it seems to always have the tabs under the Torero Hub tab. But still no Admitted tab.

I applied on the last day (12/15). I’m just curious why those tabs are disappearing and appearing. I did not apply for financial aid, nor did I ask to be considered for any merit scholarships.

You are automatically considered for merit scholarships. Did you file a FAFSA form about financial aid? I think most schools sort of automatically do the cost of attendance, your contribution, your potential loans/aid thing. I think many on this stream have had tabs come and go…

Now the tabs have all returned. Still no Admission tab though. Why would they update everything, including meal plan, parental authorization, etc. if they are not sending out admissions?

Chubscout - those 3 new tabs appeared in my son’s portal today but have now disappeared. His application is still “complete and ready for review”. Are you from the East Coast?

My tabs kept disappearing and reappearing several days before I was admitted. I think it’s just a little glitch in the system because they have so much going on right now.

They are mailing acceptances out! Just received one! so excited!

@catttt1 do you live in SoCal?
