@Irish12464, I’m from SoCal

Has anyone received a rejection?

the admitted tab appeared today for me, but I can’t find anything about any merit scholarship does that mean
I did not receive any or is it possible it could appear later?

@dmichelle2014 NorCal!

@lynjobes

I just want to know when you guys think I will know their decision

My application status has said “committee review” since the 24th, however I still haven’t gotten a decision. I’m from NorCal and applied as an education major… starting to get nervous!!

I called admissions regarding the appearing and disappearing tabs. They said it is a glitch and it doesn’t mean anything, just wait until we recieve something in the mail.
Very disappointed that San Diego would have a glitch like this, I was so excited to think I got in.
Btw I don’t think they are doing it based on date of application because I applied October 14th and have heard nothing

So we will be notified of acceptance via mail from our mailbox or e-mail??? I’m so confused.

I think that if the tab says admitted, it is valid. The other tabs appearing and disappearing may be a glitch. It is upsetting though, that my tab says to register for classes and allows my parents to have access, but I’m not even accepted. It is actually very unprofessional of them and leads to false hopes. I would just wish that if they are going to reject me, they would do it, rather than hold me in limbo this way.

They are having a lot of glitch problems. The first day I logged in and saw that I was admitted there was also a section that said I was invited to to apply to the honors program. But then a few days later the invite was gone. So I emailed my rep and she said that it was just a glitch and that I wasn’t invited. I feel like they really need to take into consideration how much their “glitches” actually affect people.

FYI need based financial aid is up

@dmichelle2014 Where do you find that?

Chubscout and Victor45 - do you still have those tabs that keep disappearing and appearing?

@cgreico go to the admitted tab and look for the financial aid section and click financial aid status

@Irish12464, yes, I still get the tabs disappearing and appearing. It’s already happened twice today.

Chubscout - they disappeared from my son’s last night and have not come back. A different tab appeared this morning “As election” but that’s gone now too.

@Irish12464 I’m not sure what to make of it. mine were there this morning, but they are all gone now. Still no admitted tab. I don’t know what “As election” means. Haven’t seen it. Thus far, I haven’t come across anyone who has received a rejection for the regular decision round…

My son has an ADMITTED tab, merit aid of $15k under financial status, but on our financial page shows a cost of attendance as zero, which is not right. That is usually where it says the annual cost. On his status page it says Committee Review, not admitted. Very confusing, but interesting. We have been through this before and found you really need to wait till the letter in the mail to understand the details. Our daughter was accepted a few years ago and the letter had more money offered in it then showed on the website. Then she applied for more scholarships and got a little more, so if you want to go there, just keep fighting for it. For her, she chose the one college that offered us no money…but she is really happy there. So it all works out in the end.

If the letter didn’t mention any money does that mean that I did not receive any?

It is always best to call the financial aid office directly and ask about your file. With my daughter a few years ago LMU accepted her by way of a letter and said financial aid will follow. Then a month past with no info on website and we thought, it must mean no money. But mid April we found out she got $30k a year merit. When I called and talked to them and told them sadly that long delay with no money offer turned my daughter off of them. They explained they only have limited staff and so many applicants and do the best they can. They were very nice and that offer was nice, but she had mentally moved on. So before you give up on the hope of an aid package, call their offices. Also, don’t be afraid to let them know if you need more aid. The worst they can say is sorry, no. The best is they might add to the pot or tell you of more scholarships to go after. Don’t be afraid to fight for what you need. But be smart enough to walk away from colleges that put you in huge debt too. You have to think carefully about what it takes to pay that back in the future and be sure you are willing to make that sacrifice for getting what you want now. Good luck to all of you!
