I'm moving in on the 5th and I was going to wait until I got there to go buy books. My question is if I wait - what are the chances of the NEU bookstore not having the books I need. Do they run out or do they order adequately? I know I'm paying more but I figured I'd learn the ropes this first semester and then use some of the on-lines sites once I get on campus.

They will always have enough books, but not always used. For example if they run out and a bunch of people complain to the professor, they will reorder them (and most profs are nice about giving you printouts of the first few chapters if that happens). But you could have to wait a while and maybe get stiffed and have to buy new ones.

But if you buy your books during the first week, there is VERY VERY little chance they will run out.

So you are saying they could run out of used but will never run out of new? I plan to go over there on the 5th (my move-in day).

They can run out of both, but they can always re-order new books. But for a lot of people that still sucks, because the used books are sometimes 50+ bucks less (depending on the price of your book).
