I can’t decide between these two.Which one has a better engineering program?
UF has the better program, it’s better funded and recruited. However, USF’s program is solid and as with UCF, it’s one of the better programs in the state.
You can use the ASEE program profiles to get more data on each program (and others).
One thing to note, USF offers BSE in 7 programs (Chemical, Civil, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical and Industrial), while UF also has those programs, as well as (as does UCF), Agricultural, Biological, Biomedical, Environmental, Materials Sciences and Nuclear.
Correction, I was trying to write…"as well as Aerospace (as does UCF)…UF and UCF have Aerospace, but not USF. Duh…
UCF offers a has a slightly different mix of engineering programs than USF, but both UCF and USF don’t offer nearly the same number of options/degree programs as UF. Consider your possible major, when considering these 3 schools.
A bachelors in mechanical engineering from UF gives you a salary score of 76.77 with an estimated mid career salary of $98,081.
A bachelors in mechanical engineering from USF gives you a salary score of 68.43 with an estimated mid career salary of $87,462.
Where are you getting this Salary Score info?
