Is it a good idea to use Barrons AP Micro/Macroeconomics 3rd edition (2009) for the 2016 exams and Barrons AP Chemistry 7th edition (2014) for the 2017 exams?
I don’t know whether the Micro/Macroeconomics courses have been changed since 2009 and whether the 2014 Chemistry edition covers the changes in the AP Chemistry syllabus. I think it has, but I want to be sure.
What are some other prep books for other courses that are old but perfectly usable for current AP tests?
Don’t worry about getting the newest prep books; most of these publishing companies don’t even change anything from year to year (they only fix a few typos and the format maybe). Even if the test format does change, the actual material should stay consistent (only the practice tests may be questionable, but they will still help). What I know about Barron’s is that they overprep on everything, so you’ll have more than enough information regardless of what is tested (Organic Chemistry shouldn’t be on the AP exam, though, so don’t worry about it if you’re using the Barron’s AP Chem book).
