<p>There was a thread somewhere on this, and I thought I'd share something.
Last night I was on the phone with a parent here in San Diego with a mid graduating in June. He is medical school bound! The mom told me there were 12 slots for the last 3 years open to USNA grads and they did NOT fill them any year. I don't know if she means kids didn't want to apply, or their grades/MCAT scores weren't good enough, or what....but this is an interesting tidbit.</p>
<p>The young man is attending the Uniformed Services Medical School as his first choice, although the Navy would pay for ANY medical school he got into.</p>
<p>The mom rejoices that neither he or his family has medical school bills to think about!</p>
