USNews Rankings

I saw that law schools were leaked, I was wondering if undergraduate school rankings have leaked also, it'd be interesting to see if there are any changes.

The undergraduate school rankings for 2006 don't come out until August. Only graduate school rankings are being officially released this Friday.

Actually I bought the grad book on Monday at my local bookstore.

US News has lost a significance amount of its credibility around the world for several reasons.

Different method of counting SAT for public and private schools.

Faulty method of overstating endowment

Use of statistics that has zero correlation with student education

etc...etc...

Fewer and fewer parents and students are using US News for their ranking methodology. More and more parents are realizing that the quality of their education is what matters the most, and thereby started using THES Rankings by the London Times, which has been acclaimed worldwide as being much more relevant to education than US News is.

It was probably for 2005 and not for 2006.

The new USNWR graduate school rankings will be out online as of midnight tonight.

No, it was the NEW edition. I have the old one too. I'm not an idiot.

Wihout giving details, how did Michigan fare Barrons? And did they revise the rankings of the Sciences or the Social Sciences and Humanties?

i know the business and law rankings, but i'm wondering how engineering rankings looked, i know cornell dropped a bit.

They redid the social sciences liberal arts rankings plus the usual business, law, medicine. I only did a detailed comparison year to year of Wisconsin. Overall the privates seemed to move up here and there pushing the publics down a spot or two. UM was down a little in a couple but not much. The book is at home so I can't give much detail off the top of my head. I'll spot check UM at lunch and give the new numbers for the major areas of business, law, med, and engineering. Tonight I can give you a detailed year to year comparison.

OK, I ran over to Borders and got another copy to keep in my office. Updated UM rankings: Education 9, Engineering 6 (Cornell 12), Med-research 9, Med primary 27, Law 8, Business 10. new liberal arts--econ 11, english 12, history 7, poli sci 3, psych 2, sociology 3.

That's all folks

shocks.....pegs.......do you every go off any sweet jumps?

"shocks.....pegs.......do you every go off any sweet jumps?"

Well, you have a sweet bike. And you're really good at hooking up with chicks. Plus you're like the only guy at school who has a mustache.

and dont forget

"Yeah, hold on... I forgot to put in the crystals"

I have not seen it, but have they addressed any of the problems that THES London Times ranking fixed?

dude, 200 rankkings came out 3 days ago.
