Same! I can’t wait until they start coming out with decisions!
Does anyone know if we get accepted when enroll for classes? Is it during orientation in January? If so, won’t a lot of the classes be full already or do they set some spots aside for transfer/new students?
I’ve heard that spots usually open up for classes the closer the first day of class is. I have no idea why or how that works but I’m hoping that’s true. I haven’t gotten a decision yet either, first choice in COLA.
Hi all. I’m a COLA Sociology applicant now, but I want to internally transfer into Moody Advertising, as I was an Advertising major at my previous school. What are the chances of internally transferring into Moody?
Hey guys, since there are more people on this thread I would like to see others input on my chances at getting into UT: I have a 3.4 gpa with 37 hours. I am currently an ACC student and I am in Phi Theta Kappa, with many volunteer hours . My essays were extremely good and I am confident I had a really good resume/volunteer hours/ leadership roles. I applied to COLA with European Studies as my first choice and Psychology as my second. Could you guys tell me what my chances are at getting in? Thanks in advance!!!
It just depends how UT looks at your application, most COLA psychology applicants have around a 3.6 or higher and thats considered to be the average. If you have excellent extracurriculars and a positive academic trend, I think they will take that into account. Good Luck!
If one of my essays was just talking about my first choice major, do you think they will still consider me for my second choice major even if I didn’t mention it?
@aaa0624 Yeah I think they will take your second into consideration but if you put a lot of time and work talking about how important your first choice major is to you then I don’t see why you wouldn’t get into your first choice major, IMP
I called admissions today and they still told me they are expecting to send out decisions near the end of the month and the beginning of December. So annoyed, the lady is very short and blank and the whole conversation was just awkward lol I just want a decision already yo!! How is everyone elses’ application looking?
@naivedeer the URL definitely doesn’t mean anything bro lmao. Patience is a virtue, stop stressing about it and just check on it like in two weeks from now.
Anyone gotten a admission decision yet?
Still haven’t heard anything! So frustrating it’s Ben almost 3 months for me!
Same here, just ready to know already
Nothing yet either :/. They usually release decisions in the afternoon though after 12. I’m hoping they come out this week since it’s already mid-November and they’re off starting I believe next Wednesday for Thanksgiving. Good luck to everyone, I hope we find out soon!
Do you guys think whether you submitted your spring 2018 application way back in summer or close to the deadline is any type of factor?
@amjz1100 I don’t think it matter because UT doesn’t do rolling admissions. I submitted mine in the summer too, thats why Im going cray over here.
I submitted mine on like September 28th, but everything (transcripts, LOR) was in by October 5th. I know they have until the 6th for extra documents, but it’s kind of made me nervous that it would have a negative influence on their decision.
Update on my application. I just received a letter from Admissions this afternoon. Idk if it’s an acceptance letter or what but i did receive from the office of Admissions from UT so i assume they made their decision. I checked my status and my application said it was still in review so the fact that i got something in mail first before my status kinda worries be we’ll see when i get home tonight from work. My application has been submitted every since this past May so we’ll see what happens. Extremely nervous now!
Hello, I applied pretty close to the deadline to the School of Natural Sciences for Biology. I have a 3.62 GPA, Pretty good essays, lots of volunteering experience and extracurriculars. I would be transferring from St.Edwards University. Anyone think I’ve got a shot? Very nervous waiting for results.
@Gotenks16 Any update on what you received in the mail? I was curious after reading your post and went to my mailbox to see if maybe the same would happen but no mail from UT and mystatus still shows under review (I applied and turned in all of my documents on September 8th). As well I mentioned in one of my previous post that I sent my better updated transcript to UT about a week ago electroniclly and I have been checking “my Documents” in mystatus to see if the updated transcript has been delivered as well but nothing yet, so who knows if they are accepting new documents into consideration. I will give it a day or two on my updated transcript if not I will call and see if there is a reason why it has no been delivered to mystatus. Hopefully we all get notified soon, I would think that about a week or so we should all know around thanksgiving break.
