UT Austin and TAMU Will I Get In?????

I am currently an American citizen in my senior year in India. I scored 1960 on my SAT(640-Reading, 710-Math, 610-Writing)
I am my school basketball team's captain and the school's vice captain. All of my ECs are basically playing basketball at the domestic, national and international levels. I'm looking at Computer Science/Engineering as my major. Would I be able to get into the above mentioned schools?

Also, as mentioned on the TAMU website( http://admissions.tamu.edu/freshman/admitted ), I would qualify for an auto academic admission.

Please help!!

A&M yes. UT Engineering average SAT score is a 2026, so that is more of a stretch if you have a 1960. As you probably know, UT fills up with the students they are required to automatically accept from the top 7% of in state Texas residents. Because of that, they don’t have a lot of extra spots for competitive majors like engineering and computer science. Best of luck!
Thanks a lot! Would you recommend that I apply, though?

I think you should always apply if you want to. Otherwise you will always wonder if you could have gotten in.
