My daughter applied to Liberal Arts Honors and got her acceptance yesterday
Did anyone who applied to the AET program get in?
@Lupescupe how do you know that the applicant that applied priority gets a decision by January?
@antwaine the UT admissions page specifically says that those who apply by the priority deadline (Nov 1) will receive a response by February 1. Not sure where Lupescupe is getting their info…but Feb 1 is what I am going with until UT posts otherwise. Unless of course they mean by January 31, that would be “by January” technically I guess, lol.
@labegg Haha yeah I am with you, I hate that they’re so secretive about everything.
@labegg It’s logical to think that if you applied by Nov. 1
then you would receive a decision by Feb 1st. Obviously, if you haven’t been seeing the thread recently, decisions come out on Friday’s. UT put on their website that priority deadline you receive decision by Feb 1st and Feb 1 lands on a Thursday. So what I am basically implying is that if you are priority then your decision will come out latest January.
My daughter got her LAH acceptance this morning ( guessing it posted yesterday or the day before - she hasn’t looked in a few days).
i got into plan 2 honors today!! i’m out of state in virginia
Congrats you guys!! Do y’all think that means there could be a small wave today?
Were you accepted before that and then today notified of honors? Or you first heard about it today? Thanks and congrats!
We got acceptance first then honors
i was accepted first! also i got a letter in the mail i’m not sure when it popped up in the portal!
hmm, no wave today?
what time do they usually update portals?
sorry im new to this
man, I bet they’re not releasing today. ugh. was hoping to find out if i got in before christmas but i guess ill have to be patient for another few weeks.
i just checked on my status and I got into LAH. I am in-state and autoadmit. i got into my major a month or two ago and applied in october
McCombs Class of 2022 !!
I find it annoying that my son isn’t going to get a decision for SIX MONTHS after he applied(he applied in early August) He applied to 12 schools and has heard back and gotten in all(including A&M and UPenn) except UT Austin… ridiculous.
I understand they said from the beginning it would be before Feb 1 but really who needs six months to look at an application.
So I got an 800 on my Physics and Math II December subject tests, but I already submitted my application at the end of October. I have not gotten my major yet (computer science first choice, ECE second). Would the admission office see these scores and consider that before the next wave?
