UT Austin class of c/o 2022 admissions

Someone got rejected. Friend of friend.

@rayosunshyne what time? Did they get an email?

Past 4. I think they got an email. @apulse

I haven’t heard but I’m fairly positive I won’t get in since I’m not top 7% but I just want to know so I can find a roommate for TCU sooner if needed

@rayosunshyne do you know what major they applied for?

@p342781 All I know is that my friend shared this sad news on our group cgat and we mourned over the loss. I’m sorry for the lack of information.

there WAS a wave today. at least for out of state. my friend got in today

@ut0716 I hate bothering people…but do you have any idea if there were out of state rejections as well? Thanks in advance.

There was a wave today for in state as well. Someone from my High School got in.

A few people getting in doesn’t constitute a wave - a wave means a lot of people got a decision

So the AO’s might’ve been right in there is no wave today, i.e. most people won’t get a decision

Wonder if ones who got in applied for honors programs? Anyone know? I heard of someone getting in to but I don’t know what her major was. I think the really tiny wave back in December was for people who ended up getting honors decisions…

Getting in too*

Sorry

I don’t understand why it takes so long for ut to decide. If they know they’re going to accept or reject us, why not just let us know now?

@funtimes123 What major did your friend get?

The UT counselor said no one would find out today…so confused!! Also, I don’t think any honors decisions for engineering have been released either. Why wouldn’t they just say a few decisions will be released today?

I have not heard anyone get in today…

@freshmanfinder237 Not sure the exact major but it’s for interior design (fashion)

This was just added to my mystatus page…
“Current as of 01/19/2018; may not reflect all information received/used for admission decision.”
Does anyone know what that means?

@clowery I’ve had that since the mystatus page became available. Unfortunately…I don’t think it’s a sign of anything other than still not knowing your admissions decision.

@Bocker99 thanks for the info!

i seriously can’t take waiting anymore. i applied way back in the beginning of august. i would be fine with waiting if i didn’t know a lot of myself NON AUTO friends that are in state and have lower ranks and scores than i do have gotten in back in the dec 15th wave. they also applied later than i did (mid october). they applied undeclared same as me but they know where they’re going to college and i don’t. this is beyond frustrating.
