UT Austin class of c/o 2022 admissions

anyone heard from Fine Arts yet?

i applied for geology, had all of my documents received by august 15th, and i still haven’t heard anything back… hopefully we will here on friday. ): UT is my dream school

Thanks…in the Houston area. So I am priority I suppose. Application went in late November.

has anyone heard from the college of education? non auto?

I did receive the email back in October saying I could still be priority if application went in by Dec 1. However, I did not check the box for a fee waiver due to Hurricane Harvey. Assuming I am still Priority because I live in Houston area?

@c5texas yep you should be

I really hope decisions come out this Friday! The wait has been killing me, especially with these few OOS acceptances.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to know if anyone has information about the entry-level nutrition program at UT? Is it a pretty competitive major? Is it easier to get into than say, biology or neuroscience (even though they are both in the CNS)? Nutrition is my passion and I want to get a more accurate gauge on how many applicants I’m up against. Does UT compare applications based on major, race, school, etc? Just curious. Also, does anyone think my status as a URM boost my chances of being accepted not only to the university but to the nutrition program as well (since only a small fraction of dietitians/nutritionist are minorities)? Just some inquiries, hopefully, I didn’t offend anyone! I’ve been searching for answers to there questions everywhere and have yet to find an answer. Maybe someone on this thread can provide some insight, especially since the next potential wave may not be until the 26th.

Hey guys I have a question.

Does UT really care about senior year grades?? Will they kick you out (after acceptance) if your senior year grades are bad?

@Chipotlegurl28 They don’t do midyear reports so all they’ll see from senior year is your final transcript. I’ve heard that they only check the transcript just to make sure that you’ve met the requirements for graduation so as long as you aren’t failing I wouldn’t really worry.

We’re still reviewing your application.
Thank you for completing your application for admission by the priority deadline. We need additional time to make a final decision about your admission. We will post your decision here no later than March 1.

Update to daughter’s my status this morning… although she applied well before the November priority deadline (Complete in August, actually), there is now a message on her my status that says they need more time to make a final decision, and she will hear by March 1.

my D see this update, does anyone see this info ?

Yes, same. Sucks.

i feel something problem with UT Austin, frankly they are not organized.

I think that many more people applied than in past years. Also the hurricane messed stuff up. Hopefully it is a good thing that they are taking time to view the applications.

My S see this update too. This might be updated few hours ago. It was not there when we checked at 6 am.

Got the same message - at this point I’m considering withdrawing my app
If they can’t handle this what would make me think they can handle anything else in the administration department

This matches what I was told when we toured the campus on Friday. The admissions officer was very apologetic, but stated this was an unusual year with Harvey, and they want to make sure they give every applicant a fair shot. I didn’t sense chaos and disorder in the system, they just have a ton of applicants that need to be reviewed. I would certainly not withdraw my D’s application at this point, all we can do is wait and see.

same message for me, applied 9/18 and applied to health science honors same day… just have to wait and see
