UT Austin Class Registration Fall 2015 - Transfer

Hello everyone,

I was admitted into UT Austin for Computer Science as a transfer student. This will be my first time attending UT and I was wondering if there is priority registration according to which orientation I attend. I wanted to go to the first orientation for transfers but I have a summer class that will not allow me. So now it looks like I will be attending the very last orientation. Does that put me at a disadvantage for registering for classes? I definitely do not want to be left taking only one class because all the others were full. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will be calling tomorrow to see if UT can answer this for me. I am just impatient and wanted to see if anyone knew. Thank you.

Hey! So I went to the first orientation last summer for transfers, honestly, most classes weren’t open there anyway.
The thing is UT keeps some classes closed for the next orientation session, so you should have open classes at your orientation as well, and I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
