I could be totally wrong but I usually check it once a day (unhealthy I know, whatever though). It’s the last school I’m waiting to hear from and I was “complete” since early January so I have seen the page a lot and might not have noticed it switch.
oh, we are in the same boat. I applied to Moody first choice and COLA second choice. I wouldn’t stress it, they probably picked a wave of students to review first then will probably do the same thing for the next wave
for those that are in review, did you receive an email saying there was a change in your application status?
Nope
hey @mrronswanson I don’t think going into review later should hurt your chances. As long as you turn in your application on or before March 1st and turn in all your application requirements on or before March 7, you should be fine.
I emailed admissions sometime in Feb asking if turning in your application later than others will negatively affect chances of admission and they said no.
If you are in review can you say what major you applied to? Just so people can have a good idea of what majors might be hearing back soon!
Good luck to everyone!!
I applied for the film program and have been in review for about a week-ish ^
Nope.
Yay same!! So exciting and nerve wrecking. I’m praying for us!
applied under liberal arts: health& society been in review for about a week now.
Applied for Mathematics. in review for a week now. Good luck everyone
Hey guys! I applied for Environmental Science- biology track in CNS. My application only says complete. However, I’m sure CNS will take longer than the Liberal Arts will. I hope you all get in! FINGERS CROSSED!
Oh, these are my stats:
In-State Resident
Major: Environmental Science-biology track CNS
Hours: 60
GPA: 4.0 (all gen math, biology, chemistry courses finished)
Letter of Recommendations: 3- respected Chemistry and Biology professors and 1 from my manager
Volunteer: Local Sea Turtle Conservancy, Monarch Butterfly Wayward Station at local CC
Work: STEM tutor at local community college (mostly tutoring biology and chemistry)
Research/Internships: None; however, I was invited to do research this summer with a Grant
Essays: I did them last minute, but I think they are decent. I spoke about how moving to Mexico when I was 16 changed the way I looked at the environment. I also did essay E. I spoke about advocating for the local sea turtle in the Texas Bay: Kemp’s Ridley, and how the border wall crisis is fueling the environmental hazards on a local scale.
I’ve been in review for about 3 or 4 days, right after the weekend of the application deadline. I’m applying for sociology, seems liberal arts are in review already
Based inc last year it takes a month after being in review to even start seeing results so we probably shouldn’t be stressing right now
Hi @alirhasan96 , cal 2 is a pre req for McCombs. Meaning you would have to have it done or in progress this semester if you are transferring in Fall 2019!
Hi @sagooro22 , what is your overall college GPA? I am in the same boat, my only B was in dual credit as well. However, mine was for one of their pre reqs… Micro Econ. I know that they look at GPA first, it is good that you earned all As in your pre reqs. A few years ago when I talked to an advisor he told me that I need a 3.9 to be competitive and that I should focus on getting As in the pre reqs, as those are more of what they look at. Hopefully they focus on that and if they do I would say you have a good chance with all of your EC!
I hope that helps… figures crossed for us all!
computer science, been in review for a week or so.
Can you do business at UH for a year possibly earn at least 30 hours and then transfer to Mccombs at UT? Same goes for natural sciences such as biology and other majors? Is it possible to transfer after a year with 24 hours to business school at UT? Is there a required number of credit hours for transfer and is it okay if you do the minimum 24? I`m looking to apply to fall 2020 for mccombs school of business and transfer asap (hopefully a year).
@mrronswanson I checked MyStatus and they changed it there, I did not receive an email.
yes, I am
