I Thought my essays were pretty strong, but it’s always hard to tell from ones own perspective. I had several ecs such as medlife, projevt sunshine, and AED. 2 LORs.
DAMN @STCTEXAS I’m so sorry, that totally blows! You are worth it though, UT is just crazy.
@STCTEXAS Hey… I know you’re going through a tough time. I remember when I got denied when I was applying to be a freshman. It feels absolutely awful. Just know that there’s so many other opportunities out there to get to your main goals.
Thanks, y’all. I truly appreciate it. I’m super sorry if I’m coming across poorly, I’m just very stressed and upset right now. This has been my dream school ever since I saw Vince Young run for a touchdown in the rose bowl.
I’ll probably stay on the page. I wish the best of luck to everyone else!
STCTEXAS, you should consider appeal!
If you’re still open to questions,
Do you think your course credits follow the bio degree plan?
Also, do you know whether your credits got all the way through or not? I found out after the soft application deadline that some of my AP credits didn’t go through so that could have been an issue.
Very similar case with mine. My submitted spring transcript left out 16 hours of credit that I received from another institution. The admission representative was super friendly and helpful, and walked me through the appeal process. I’m turning in the updated transcript tomorrow.
Wow! Good luck. I bet those missing credits played a huge part in the decision.
awhhhh GOOD LUCK @STCTEXAS you deserve another chance. Hopefully, it’ll go through. Let us know how it goes ok?
Thank you so much. I’ll keep the page updated.
Thank you! I hope those credits will look good.
@STCTEXAS keep your head up! you did an amazing job and you will keep doing great things!
@STCTEXAS did you also submit a transcript directly from the institution that granted the 16 hours? That may be what is needed.
I did. My institution used speede, but that left out some credits, so I’m sending a hard copy to the institution ASAP.
@STCTEXAS Great, fingers crossed that this will result in your admission.
@STCTEXAS that is exactly why they denied you. the 16 hours that were left out would have only put you at 21 hours when they looked at your application. The minimum hours required is 24, so that’s why you were denied. your 4.0 and strong resume should allow the appeal process to go in your favor. Good luck!
Thank you! I was so worried, but when I found out about the transcript situation so much pressure was alleviated. Fingers crossed for everyone else!
Good luck to everyone trying to transfer to UT, I just graduated from UT this past weekend and was an ECE transfer student. Its been 4 years since I transferred and I had also made a post on a similar thread for the Fall of 2015 at that time, so you guys got this and good luck!
Just saw on twitter a transfer student got accepted for the journalism degree in Moody College WOOP WOOP! Can’t wait to see when y’all get accepted too
