UT Austin Major Change Appeal

I have been accepted for MechEng for Fall 2017 however, I am considering changing my major to Electrical&Computer Engineering through the appeal process available on UT Direct.

There are some questions that I have to answer:

-“Tell us why you’re submitting a major change request.”

-“If necessary, you can upload documents in support of your appeal. Situations vary a lot, so we can’t provide a list of what you should upload. Instead, plan to send documents that support what you say in your written explanation.”

-“You or someone acting on your behalf may need to send us additional documents or items by mail or another method—official transcripts or test scores must come from the school or the testing agency, for example. Below, tell us about as many as 10 additional items we should expect to receive.”

Does anyone know what they look for? Do I need to submit any documents?
