I'm thinking about majoring in chemical engineering, and I would like to work in the pharmaceutical industry.

I was admitted to GT and UT and waitlisted at Carnegie Mellon.
At CMU, I am given the option to accept my spot on the priority waitlist (I get contacted before the regular waitlisted candidates). If I decide to do so, I am thinking about sending letters with updates, another rec, etc.

While I believe all three are excellent options, there are significant differences in cost.
CMU: $62,000
GT: $43,000
UT Austin: $25,000 (in-state) but I'd have to internally transfer to ChemE since I'm only admitted to its Mechanical Engineering program.

Currently, I'm leaning towards Georgia Tech but I also like CMU's smaller size and more well-rounded student body.
I'm also thinking about transferring after my freshman year if that gives me a better opportunity.

I would really appreciate some advice! Thanks!
