Does the email come from UT or from the interviewer personally?
Today, I had just received an interview opportunity with an alum, They emailed me personally and we quickly set up a time for a phone interview within the next week. I had sent in my application around the end of October, if that helps any.
Initial email came through BHP office for us. We have not been contacted by the alum yet. (It’s been 2 days)
I never received an email from BHP but was emailed by alum to set up phone interview
I have a correction: BHP contacted my daughter first and then interviewer emailed her shortly after and they set up date for phone interview.
Anyone willing to give stats?
Haven’t received anything yet
When did those who have received interview notifications apply?
@txstudent100 I had sent it in around October 29, I’m guessing they’re sending out interview notifs waves to those who applied within October now.
Yeah I applied on October 11, and haven’t heard anything /: @hskachu
One of my friends was notified via email this morning about her BHP interview, applied a few days before the Nov 1st priority deadline
Anyone who has had an interview gotten in?
I haven’t even had an interview but I got into McCombs. To be honest, If I don’t get into BHP, I’ll be happy enough lol.
You already have a McCombs acceptance txstudent100? When did that show up?
@DramaMama1993 She just heard this afternoon.
Maybe we will hear something in two weeks or so since the BHP deadline backed up 2 weeks…
Has anybody who had a BHP interview heard back yet? It seems like a few people got McCombs acceptance emails on Friday (11/17) - interestingly, they had not yet gotten a BHP interview call.
Yeah, I was accepted into McCombs but didn’t even have an interview for BHP. Even if I don’t get BHP, I’m happy I got into McCombs - I’m just surprised that McCombs is notifying before BHP. Isn’t it usually BHP that sends notifications to accepted students before anyone hears from McCombs?
Can those that were accepted to McCombs please list your stats? Just curious about my chances
@funtimes123 Sure! Here you go:
Class Rank: Not top 10%, and therefore, not auto-admit
Residency: In-state
ACT: 34
GPA: Not sure what it translates to on the 4-point scale, but I have a 94ish weighted average out of 105
Extra curriculars: I founded an established business, which likely bolstered my application more than anything else
Applied on: October 12th (if I remember correctly)
Accepted on: Friday, November 17th to McCombs and UT
I think that covers it - is there anything else I can provide that would be helpful?
Just for reference, the average ACT for McCombs is 31, so there’s still plenty of chance depending on your stats - I know people have gotten in with mid-to-high 20’s, and considering how early in the process it is, just gotta hang in there. It’s not easy on the nerves and wish everybody could hear at the same time (preferably early on in the process).
Thanks @txstudent100!
