If this year is anything like last year (since leadership in Turing hasn’t changed with Dr. Lin, I would think they are still running like usual)- today is the one and only open house for Turing students. DS said they asked for students to be on panels at the presentation.
He said there are about 5 more scheduled events for all of the CNS honors- Deans, Health Sciences & Polymath. So, fingers crossed for you guys that you will hear something & get to go to one of those orientations!
@Aristos Yeah, I’m a little bummed as well, though I wasn’t expecting to get in to be honest. Hopefully Dean’s Scholar works out, though I have no idea how competitive that is relative to Turing.
On the bright side, it looks like entry-level CS students can apply for Turing again after the first semester, so I guess that’s always an option.
I am curious to know if anyone attended the Turing Open house on monday and has any perspectives ? are all acceptances sent out for Turing ?
^ I would like to know that as well. Why hasn’t my MyStatus changed to rejected yet?
Seems like they could at least update a status.
MyStatus update for me on Monday (2/27) : “We are not able to offer you admission to
Turing Scholars”
Well, our valedictorian with a 2380 SAT got rejected too, so I’m not that disappointed.
Can confirm, looks like Turing Scholar responses are out. I got denied as well, though to be honest I expected it at this point.
Also denied. OOS 34 ACT, female, and really good CS extra-curriculars. Not that suprised I was denied though.
