UT Honors Application Process

I am a senior applying to UT’s Dean’s Scholar, Turing Scholar, and Engineering Honors programs. These programs require a STEM teacher’s recommendation, which I have arranged. However, the regular UT application also has a recommendation option.

Is the Honors application considered separately or with the regular application. In other words, will not having a regular recommendation hurt my Honors application? I am in the top 3 of my graduating class and thus eligible for auto-admission (I am a Texan).

Any information regarding the application review process would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

DS applied & was admitted to both Dean’s & Turing last year. He submitted 3 LOR- 1 STEM for DS & Turing & 2 (one humanities teacher & one CS teacher) with the regular ApplyTexas application.
Would it be possible to request other letters to add to your application?

Are Recommendation letters mandatory for EHP? I thought resumes and recommendation letters are not accepted
for EHP. Please anyone can confirm me this.

@Ven1999, you are correct - the Engineering Honors page says that no letters of recommendation or resumes are accepted.
