<p>Hey guys, I am currently a undergraduate student at the University of Houston but I want to transfer into the McCoombs Business School for its MPA program. Here is some information about me.
1) Current College: University of Houston
2) Current GPA: N/A (High School gpa:5.0157 on a 6.0 scale which is 3.3678 on 4.0 scale) my rank is/was 82 out of 526 in high school Sat was 1760 should i retake before transfer? i got a 30 on the ACT
3) Spring GPA: 3.8+ hopefully
4) First Choice: Accounting
5) Second Choice: Finance
6)Courses Completed: I have 35 hours as of entering UH and i'm working on 15 this semester and probably 18 next. I will meet all the transfer requirements by the end of spring. When I apply in December since I currently have no GPA at UH, I will have around 50 hours completed.
7) Extracurricular: I had no extracurriculars in high school since I couldn't drive but i'm planning to get involved in 2 organization my fall semester here at uh. Right now I am in a Finance and Accounting organization not frats. Is it bad that I have not diversified my involvement. I enjoy the research and trade competitions in the Finance Association and the Accounting Society professional meetings help.
I want to apply for the Fall 2012 transfer please let me know what you think and anything I can do to increase my odds of getting into the program or any general advice you got. thanks in advance.</p>
<p>Have you looked at McCombs’ website, specifically this page?</p>
<p>[Getting</a> Admitted | McCombs School of Business | The University of Texas at Austin](<a href=“http://new.mccombs.utexas.edu/BBA/Prospective/Admission/External-Transfer.aspx#tab-pane4]Getting”>http://new.mccombs.utexas.edu/BBA/Prospective/Admission/External-Transfer.aspx#tab-pane4)</p>
<p>Applications for external transfers are due March 1, 2012, so you will have a gpa by that time for them to review. Note, externally transferring into McCombs is extremely difficult, as it typically requires a 3.85+ gpa for admission. Many students first transfer into UT, and then try to transfer the following year internally.</p>
