If anyone is on the waiting list hoping for an acceptance, be patient! My daughter received an email offer today to come off the list. She is moving in another direction and won’t be accepting it, but I wanted to let you know. We didn’t go visit on our spring break visit trip because someone posted that David had told her he never remembered going to the waitlist, so we were surprised by the email.
Our D was also accepted off of the Utah WL today. @El-Cee , what did your daughter decide to do? Did she head to Utah today?
Yes, she made it from the East Coast to Utah and back in one day! She is dead-tired but heading to class now.
The campus was beautiful but ultimately not for her. She has decided to remain on the East Coast for school but can see why so many people love Utah’s program. good luck to everyone
@El-Cee I’m glad she was able to make a decision. I think this entire–kids just step on campus and know their place–isn’t always true. I know for my daughter, it took blind review of curriculum and then a very extensive spread sheet of wants/needs and 4 sessions with a coach to come to her decision that Utah clicked every box she was looking for in a program. Good news is my D was able to get into the dorm she wanted in a double and not a triple. At that point for her it felt like a fated decision I hope the dorms at your D’s choice work out and she has a great experience next year! I’m sure you’re glad this process is over too!
Yes the feeling of having a commitment is euphoric! For all of those who are not quite there yet ~ just you wait! it’s bliss right now
Best of luck to everyone!!
