UTexas Austin for marketing??

<p>Heyy guys,</p>

<p>I checked out some colleges rankings (US news) and it is mentioned that Utexas austion (McCombs) is ranked no.4 for marketing - the major I am applying for. Is UT Austin actually as good as it is said to be? I've never known a student of theirs so if any of you guys do, can you please share the experience/Stats? ould a student with a 3.0-3.20 W GPA apply to this school?
Also, at UT Austin, is it possible to do both marketing (mccombs) and communications/advertising (from the college of communication) like a double major?</p>

If your applying as a transfer 3.8 is the average. So 3.0-3.2 is very low. If you can get it up and do lots of volunteering and have leadership on your r</p>

<p>^^ OP is in high school, thus the weighted GPA comment. To your point, even a high school GPA of 3.0 to 3.2 is too low for entry into UT, let alone McCombs given that the OP’s class rank would undoubtedly be very low as well.</p>
