<p>I am a high school student taking an early look at colleges. I am interested in anesthesiology. If anyone could give feedback on certain schools, and especially if University of Tennessee- Knoxville is a good school for this pathway.</p>
<p>UTK has an excellent direct entry BSN Program. Its Nurse Anesthetist Grad Program is ranked 26th (2011) in the country by USNWR so it also has an exellent Grad Program in this area. Of course you first have to get your BSN and then apply to the CRNA Program (most such programs require working as an RN on an ICU for at least a year before you are eligible to apply-it also helps to become certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse). Good luck to you. It is a long row to hoe but is doable.</p>
