Hello,

I have been accepted to Toronto for International Relations and I hope to double major in Economics/Criminology/Global Health/Commerce (undecided) and Queen's Commerce.

I want to eventually work for the UN or World Bank, or possibly global development in a business setting. I would like to pursue Law school or Masters after undergrad at an Ivy League institution. I may even consider transferring to the US after first year depending on my GPA. I can't decide between the two universities.

For Toronto, I am accepted to the Vic One program (where 2 out of 5 credits first year is in a class of 25 people, special seminar courses for discussing world affairs etc) and awarded an $12,000 scholarship. I would love to live in a big city like Toronto for 4 years, and such an internationally ranked university filled with endless opportunities for research and extracurriculars, all that could help me network, do what I love, and get the skills for after graduation. However, I would like to work a year or two after undergrad before postgraduate studies, and I've also heard of the grade deflation and am afraid I might not even make it to grad school? I don't think my career prospects are looking so good if I graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.

For Queen's, the commerce program is arguably the best business program in Canada and very good employment and base salaries. I figured I can still do what I want after a more reliable and practical undergraduate program (e.g. go to law school, still work for the business side of non-profit). I only got $2,000 for scholarship even though money isn't a problem, I would still regret not having the Vic One experience Toronto would give me first year. I've heard Queens does have many extracurriculars, but I doubt as many opportunities as Toronto does. It is also business from day 1; Having never taken a business course in high school, I'm not quite sure how that will go (however from what I have heard, it wouldn't kill me :P).

Any advice, experience, or help would be much appreciated!
