This wait is tearing me apart. I canāt focus on my schoolwork and my quarter is ending this week. Iām not planning on letting senioritis kick in, so I really donāt want to fall behind. Anyone have any advice on getting through this week?

Iāve been feeling the exact same way. Sometimes what helps me is just designating a half hour to doing schoolwork and really working hard and putting my phone in another room. Even if I need more than a half hour to complete the work, just getting started goes a long way and then I usually end up wanting to work longer than a half hour!!
Just remember this is all coming to an end soon. Itās extremely normal and valid to feel like this. There is so much uncertainty in a normal college admissions year already and this year has its own challenging factors.
Keep pushing through, I promise everything will work out how itās supposed to

My daughter has been helped by physical activity. This helps me too, when Iām anxiousādoing something physical gives your sympathetic nervous system (the fight/flight one, which prompts the release of all the adrenaline and cortisol into your bloodstream) a āplaceā to put that energy. (This is a gross oversimpification of that process, but Iām a psychologist and donāt want to be annoying with details. ;). Anyway, anything that moves the body in a moderately intense way can be helpful. If nothing else, it kills time, right? Courage! Youāll get through this, and then it will be behind you.

These colleges are really trying to kill me tomorrow haha. Literally have UVA, Villanova, Boston College, and potentially Georgetown as well all releasing tomorrow. Donāt think Iām going to be able to sleep or really do anything in anticipation tomorrow. Good luck to everyone!!!
