I just got an e-mail regarding the Echols Scholars Program. The first two lines of it read as follows:

"Honored and Impressed. This is how we felt while evaluating your application for admission. We write first of all to congratulate you on your acceptance to the University of Virginia."

Seeing as I have not yet been accepted (to my knowledge), was this sent out in advance by mistake?

congrats, everybody! I've really been hoping for the Echols, but I didn't get the email today...is there any chance that more notifications will be sent out later on? Or was today it?

I got a call from the echols program in february saying I was a very strong candidate, and a likely letter two weeks ago. Naturally I'm lacking an email. fantastic.

I'm not sure what the Echols Program is though. I read the description from the email, but I'd like to know more about the experience at Echols and how it's different from being at UVA w/o Echols. Anyone know?
