<p>wow. uva was the one school that i was absolutely positive that i'd get rejected from. but i just got my acceptance--it's dated 4/15 but it made it to me in iowa this morning, so i think it was probably really mailed on the 14th. it comes in an envelope slightly bigger than a normal one and it's thin--i was positive it was a rejection. anyway, i hope this helps those of you who are waiting.</p>
<p>vlman, Congratulations!!! That's awesome! Why would think you were rejected? Any particular reason, i.e., stats, essay, recs...etc.?</p>
<p>i didn't even attempt to match their distribution requirments--no foreign language or math and only 1 computer science course--my recs would have been average at best and i haven't done anything ec wise all year. so yeah, if i got in you guys should have no problem--gl to all!</p>

<p>no, i have no idea where i'll attend--i applied to uva for the heck of it, but i know nothing about it and i dont know how i'm gonna get down there to check it out. my top choice is barnard, but i might not hear from them before the 5/13 deadline.</p>

<p>you never know! maybe your letter got lost or something, or maybe you'll just find out on may 1 that you got in instead. who knows, just don't say already that you've lost all hope (cause then when the rest of us don't receive ours really soon, we don't wanna feel that way either)</p>

<p>well, it seems that if the letter has arrived in Iowa, then the first wave has come and gone. If you didn't get it, it seems that you are probably not part of the first wave. Maybe the people in California (if we have any here) still have some time to be hit by the first wave...</p>

<p>Or if you had your letter sent to your current college, it could be in the mail tomorrow...I know we have a 1-2 day delay when mail is sent to my school.</p>
