When I click the link it automatically removes your ID number actually, probably because I’m still logged into my SIS account on my computer.
@LaVolpe I tried it as is and still got a wait-list. Then I swapped your ID for mine and same thing.
It didn’t remove his ID for me…See: http://i mgur.com/cLmSGYp
When I tried @LaVolpe’s link i still got the same rejection letter but your ID remained the same, it didn’t change to my own.
@lowrancc oops, you’re right. It doesn’t actually do that for me either. Ignore my earlier post, I glossed over it too much (it’s late, forgive me). But yea I get an acceptance.
Yeah, I guess the awful system isn’t that bad.
Anyway, I can’t do much more with limited info. Take what has been found as you like and we’ll see what happens.
Although I’d be willing to bet that if you right click and view page source and go to lines like 43 or whatever your correct ID’s will be there. It shows that url but doesn’t actually display my info.
I would assume/hope that anyway.
@LaVolpe what do you conclude based on us clicking that link and getting the same decisions as earlier?
@LaVolpe Yep. We thought we had something in the past and it turned out to be wrong. So who knows. Just hang in there, guys! Only a couple more weeks.
http://uvaapplication.blogspot.com/2015/12/view-decision-status-in-sis-for-uva20.html I would assume that they are not completely finished with decisions given that they have about 2 weeks left, so I would say that it is possible that those that have acceptance showing through the glitch that they have completed those applications, but those that have an rejection this could be just a default given that no one has shown that they don’t have some sort of message come up. When I changed the value from 1 to 2 the very beginning of this month when I received my check it showed the same rejection message, and I would find it hard to believe they made final decisions for everyone by then. My theory is that the rejection message is default for everyone, and for those that receive acceptance or waitlist notifications, the message changes. I think this is true because we have yet to see anyone that clicks that link and doesn’t have a message. Just my thoughts.
I wonder what @“Dean J” would say if she found out we cracked admissions early lol
@Sam998 I think my comment just a second ago probably covers what you mean.
You’re able to click that link, but the page displays yours because you’re already logged into SIS.
@UVAfan23 Oh please, she was saying pictures people posted were hoaxes last year. She’d do the same to the info on here.
Really all we need is someone without a check to monitor that link and see what happens. That would be the easiest way to verify it.
My personal opinion is that the declination letter is default. No one has no message and it’s hard to believe that some people, like Will, got their application from being read to declined in the span of a day. If they did it that fast, this process would take a couple weeks at most.
So, anyone without a check should help out and check that link and the second they get their check should do it as well. Either will give some solid info.
g’night folks. I’ll be excited to see the insanity rise tomorrow as people drove through this whole convo.
@LaVolpe well, they kind of have to keep information like this from being “leaked”, next years class will have it all figured out by just reading this thread. If anything, I was truly cheering for you though. I’m hoping and praying this is just a tiny fluke in the system.
Let’s prepare for these oncoming comments and chaos haha
@UVAfan23 Yeah, but anyway it does make sense for the declination letter to be default. Because being declined is the default lol
I wouldn’t worry about it until say, a day or two before decisions OR if someone without a check does this.
@Edu_rms Great Job. I wish I had spent more time on my essays. I too have a similar background, but I did not expand on that in my essays. Kind wish I could go back but oh well. There is always medical school applications.
@LaVolpe why would a rejection be default though? And what does that mean for the acceptance letters and waitlisted people? Ugh. It’s all confusing. I’m gonna try again for spring 2017. This was fun though lol
@UVAfan23 Less people get in or are wait-listed than are rejected. So the default is rejection so they have to change the minimal amount of files.
@lowrancc but I’m still rejected though lol. If I’m understanding what you’re saying correctly? Unless they’re taking their sweet sweet time with me and haven’t posted a final decision. Which I doubt seeing as I got a check WAY back in mid-late March
@UVAfan23 No. If this whole URL DECN_2 theory is true, then for you we (unfortunately) have no way of knowing if you were actually rejected or if they haven’t done yours yet and it’s still showing the default.
