UVA Fall 2016 Transfer Thread

@IdkIdkHelp W2s, tax forms, FA application certification

@menhit You didn’t submit those by the April 1 deadline, did you?

@BlueandGold123 mine says “There is no financial aid information found.”

Wow. That user definitely got me. I’m at work and was about to pass out lol.

Back in Feb I called to confirm they had all they would need to evaluate and they confirmed they did. I just have the certification though in my To-Do, I don’t have the W2 or anything.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there are just certain triggers in the FAFSA or CSS that cause them to ask for the certification or additional documents.

@lowrancc Nope, I submitted the Profile application then. I’ve had the to-dos since last week.

@BlueandGold123 When I click view fin aid I see both a 2016 and 2017 item. Both say inquiry access denied aswell.

@BlueandGold123 mine has 2016 and 2017…both say inquiry access denied

@Sam998 what did your decision say when you checked that link @lavolpe had?

@uctransfer2016 it was an acceptance letter

@menhit Thats why I dont think the to-do’s mean acceptance. They’re just the forms you didnt turn in with the CSS profile. The 1040’s and W-2’s and certification form

@lowrancc I’m not saying they mean acceptance, to be honest I have no clue. I was just saying I called SFS and they said the CSS and FAFSA were all they needed at the time for evaluation and I was all good.

Also, on the UVA Transfer Blog, all that the blog said we needed was the CSS and the FAFSA. It would make sense that the 1040, W-2, and Certification are on a case-by-case basis. I don’t have W-2 or 1040 in my To-Do list, I only have the certification.

I mailed in my w2s and stuff a month or so ago because the financial aid people told me I had to.

@BlueandGold123 Oh yeah I know. But many are thinking they do mena acceptance. I don’t think theyre case by case sinceit says right in the Fin Services webste that those must be submitted with the CSS/FAFSA stuff

@IdkIdkHelp and you still have to-do’s?

My understanding is that each week the UVA financial aid office has a raffle and if your name is drawn they put to-dos on your SIS.

@Sam998 i like that theory

@Sam998 I wouldn’t be surprised if they also gather around and watch us try to pick it all apart later. Sounds like a good way to keep job morale high.

By the end of this, I am going to be in more debt than a small european nation.

Applied for McIntire, just got an email about an interview today. They scheduled me for tomorrow and said that decisions will be out by late April. Doubt I’ll get in though since most of my credits don’t transfer and all my materials came in so late.

Question for McIntire applicants: How did your interviews go? What did you talk about?
