Yea, I got that part…I just misunderstood your comment haha sorry
So if we have one…should that be taken to mean we got accepted? Also could you elaborate on the source code theory a bit…I see “Accept Admission” in the tab after I select view decision
No @lowrancc I think every applicant is able to see the email (Virginia.edu) because like @LaVolpe said, we just don’t have access to it unless we get accepted.
i’m nervous that I could have gotten the green check so early because that means I was denied from the beginning It’s interesting that people get them at different times.
@hooville17 so am I haha. I got the green check mark maybe a good 3 weeks after I turned in all my materials. Except for my midterm grades, which I submitted on March 30th. So my mind started racing and assuming that people who got early checks get easily rejected. But I was looking at old threads from the past few years and some people who got early checks were accepted, I saw one use got a later check mark for McIntire and was waitlisted. Guess it’s all random and means nothing.
i doubt it’s random consider that some people have it and some don’t, but then again I have no idea what i’m talking about. I’m just interested in what make the green dot change into a check. this wait is killing me, I can’t focus on any school work
@hooville17 My interpretation is that the green circle means that your application is complete and ready to be read and that the green check means that it was read already and a decision has been made.
I am not sure about the “Accept Admission” thing in the tab. Certainly plausible. It depends on if @LaVolpe gets someone with the green check AND does not have the “accept admission” in the tab,
Yeah it just worries me if they gave me a green check early on I got flat out rejected haha. This year is a stretch for me anyways, next year I’m sure I would get in. But if I can get in this year that would be amaaaaazing. the whole “Accept Admission” thing doesn’t make sense if it would say that for a rejection letter. But then again, I am no IT or computer science major so I’m just throwing ideas around.
the “accept admission” is the default setting of the tab for everyone. Look at the link, at the end of it you’ll see “DEFAULT”
@hooville17 this was addressed by @LaVolpe in a previous post.
I got my check just yesterday and would this be considered early or not? I had the green dot for along time.
Good sign or nah?
a long*
@jman4468 I guess it depends. When did you submit your application? I submitted mine on leap day (2/29) and received a check mark about 3.5 weeks later.
@UVAfan23 This is the same for me
@UVAfan23 i submitted my app the same day
@hooville17 No, that’s not true.
@jman4468 I got mine on the 27th of April last year, so who knows. This time I swear I got it almost immediately.
@UVAfan23 My understanding of the circle is that your application is within the system, while the check means it’s in the files for ongoing review; that is to say, it is currently under review. Regardless, it’s one of the things that likely means nothing at all in terms of accept/deny.
but my additional credentials like transcripts and all probably were received a little later I assume
@jman4468 no way! This makes it interesting then. Same for you @lowrancc. Could it be they thought we were awesome and accepted it fast? Haha. Let’s hope so.
@LaVolpe any more luck on debunking those codes? :-/ I was so sure the emails meant something. But what you said makes more sense. It’s just I never remembered logging into uvacollab back in 2010 when I applied. Lol
possibly. but my application wasn’t complete for a while. It probably was only 3 weeks as well that it went from green circle to check
