Also, I would avoid Johnson, Malone, Weedon, or Lambeth housing. All of the locations are far from central grounds and quite secluded. It is much harder to integrate yourself into the UVa community when you live so far away.

Is the housing application binding? So for instance, if you put down the deposit, and fill out the housing application, but decide to go to another school (don’t hear back until mid-June), is there a way to get out of that housing agreement?
My aid package was phenomenal. It far exceeded my expectations. SFS has, and has had, a ton of work to do preparing these awards, however, my request for W2s and 1040s was at the beginning of April, but there were a couple of other forms I needed to submit. I believe I sent my last form on April 26th and received my award on May 2nd. Just make sure you prioritize these forms, take the time to do them correctly so you don’t need to send them again, and you should get an award notification shortly.
@smlifdab i turned everything in ahead of time. they didn’t register my parent’s w-2 until later because it was sent in a picture format at first but everything else was done before the deadline. I’m low income so I’m hoping SFS comes through.

@hopefulinlife I live in Lambeth right now. IRC is a tiny bit closer to some academic buildings, but equally further away from Barracks road shopping center. If you look at a map, they’re both right off Emmet street IRC is just a bit further north if I’m not mistaken.

I was pretty nervous about getting in without submitting letters of rec, good thing they don’t require any for transfers. Not to mention I actually applied after the final deadline when I realized that the application was still open in the Common App (I’m not good with deadlines at all). Needless to say I’m very happy!
