Now that (almost) all of my decisions have been released, I am torn between these two great schools. I am aware that Georgetown SFS holds a bit more prestige than UVA, but is it worth $15,000 more a year? I am majoring in international relations and would love to be close to DC, but I’m not sure if it’s worth $60,000 more for four years of undergrad. Thoughts?
I’m going to UVA next year so I may be a bit biased but… I’d go with UVA. If Gtown was not 60k more there for be a case for it but because that’s a lot of money I’d pick UVA. Even though your not in DC, your still going to get plenty of internship and job exposure. Also, UVA is just a better college environment. It’s fun, people are nice, and if you work you will succeed.
