On a pre-law track with majors in IR (and maybe econ or politics or something). Extremely interested in government, NGO work, humanitarian aid and human rights.
UVA: in-state, College of Arts and Sciences, cheaper, better overall academically, more challenging
GW: specific IR school, close to internships, expensive
Also, I may have enough credits to get a masters at GW in my fourth year.
Please help! Need to decide ASAP.
GW for career network
UVA for cost and location
Same to me academically
UVA non IR national prestige
Based on what you have said, I would go with UVA.
If you are interested in law school, are you prepared for the cost of GW plus law school?
government, NGO work, humanitarian aid and human rights doesn’t pay well, even with a law degree. Sometimes you can get not for profit tuition waivers/reimbursements, but you really can’t count on it.
