UVA Summer Session...?

Can anyone enlighten me a bit more on how the UVA summer session works? I mean, can any college students from VA enroll for summer session regardless of their major and/or GPA? Who can't enroll is the better question, I guess. I would like to enroll to take a media studies class, I have applied to UVA but got waitlisted then rejected. If I could, I would like to enroll at the College of Arts & Sciences for summer session. I have heard that they give visiting students on-grounds housing as well?

Anyone! just give me the 411, thanks!! :)

You can elect for on grounds housing but it would be less expensive to take a sublet.

I believe you need to submit a transcript but the classes are generally open. Transfer credit would depend on your school. It would not improve your chances for transfer in the future if your going that route.

It’s a fun way to knock out a few courses though. Definitely give it a shot.

EWLW,

Do you have to have a certain GPA to be given permission to enroll in Summer Session? I think I will definitely do it.

I had to send a transcript but then I was applying for the Summer Language Institute.

if you have already applied to UVA once and been denied admission, would that not allow you to enroll for the summer session?
