UVA transfer help

I am currently trying to transfer to UVA from Virginia Tech as a Spring Transfer. I have a 3.5 and have 57 credits completed. Of these, only 48 will transfer. I'm in two honor societies and am currently doing a community service program.

I only have 6 credits to complete in the math/science transfer requirement and foreign language. I however want to take Hindi, and that's not offered at VT. Greg Roberts (UVA transfer director) said this would be fine.

My schedule for this fall is so far:

Intro to Business and Finance
Environmental Economics (senior level)
Afro-American History
Intro to Sociology
Revolutionary China (hist)
Evolutionary Bio
Calculus. (but would rather take Macro Economics)

Would it look bad on my transcript if I took Calculus (ONLINE) at a community college? I've been thinking about doing this because it would be less of a time commitment since I have so many courses to take. Any help or advice will be much appreciated!

make sure u finish those prereqs....i think the average gpa is around a 3.6 for McIntire but too be considered a serious applicant definately finish macro, calc, and whatever else you need

oh no.... I'm not going for McIntire....

I'm only college of arts/sciences for their polsci/pre-law program.

I also am an honor court panel member and am in the student gov't senate. If that helps too.

oh ok. Yeah as for McIntire its about a 3.6,3.7 but CAS should probably be around 3.5. Im not positive though. Try giving them a call and asking the average GPA last year for transfers into CAS.
