lol, and I only had a 3.25 GPA, I think I have the lowest GPA to be waitlisted so far.

u dont like vt? why not

I hate it because there's not culture or honor here. I don't know if that makes sense but VT is just another high school to me; the drama is the same, and everyone is so, not straight up stupid, but not intellectually curious. All people think about here is partying, because that's the only thing to do here. Bumf*** VA isn't my idea of a great college experience.

If you're not an engineering major, you're screwed. The staff will forget about you and the college will forget about you. The classes here are uninteresting and a waste of time. Im a political science, history and economics triple-major here at the moment and Ive never been more bored and unenthusiastic in my life about academics. And all they care about here is ****ing football. All colleges do that to an extent, but VT takes it to an extreme.

Id rather die than spend 4 years here. So yeah, go Hokies!

I'd give anything to be in your shoes right now crichessill

I'm at VT now and I'm an engineering major applying to transfer for UCLA(rejected already...=( ) and UCSD. I feel the same way about VT, my dislikes about VT are pretty much the same as yours. Except for the academic side, but socially I 100% agree, it is soooo bad here. A majority of the student is the "same" type of people if that makes any sense, no diversity.

i might reapply to business next year seeing that they have the number 2 school program now. if i transfer, it might be just because they have better program, but I still like vt better than uva especially the campus

i go to virginia tech right now... and i have to admit that i hate it here, so i totally understand

BUT.. i did get into UVa...I found out wednesday, and Im superrr excited

i TOTALLY agree with you myinsanity. Im not in "football player" easy classes and I do virtually no work and get pretty close to straight a's. Theres no challenge and there are no long standing traditions and the people here are not who I want to be around at this point in my life.

I got waitlisted AGAIN at uva but I called and they said i was really close to the top. I think im going to go to w&m though because its a smaller school and I already got in for sure.

I got waitlisted at UVa. 3.79 in college, like a 3.3 in high school. More than likely I'm going to Tech, unless if I get in off the waitlist at Virginia, which won't happen. I guess I'll fit in at Tech or UVa. I mean, I'm an average guy who likes football, so I'll probably fit in at Tech and I enjoy Charlottesville. But either way, I'm happy.

This is all so gay. how did you, vinyard06 find out what spot you are on the waitlist at UVA? I really want to know too.

What are your stats ginginVT?

And yeah, I go to UVA almost everyweekend just because I can't stand VT. I love it so much more, I wish I could have just been accepted.

I dont understand how you VolMan17 didn't get in ???? your GPA is amazing. I had a 3.8 or .9 GPA in highschool.

I just didn't have the luck of the draw this time around. I got waitlisted at JMU too. Just bad luck I reckon, but I'm not bitter about it. I think I'll enjoy Tech.

Do they consider you instate if you are going to a college in Virginia???

They don't automatically consider you in state if you attend college in VA. I attend college in VA and I am out-of-state. If you're trying to get in-state rates, you must sit out a year before enrolling as a resident.

I was accepted

God. I'm actually getting quite irritated at this point because I feel like the LAST PERSON TO FIND OUT THEIR DECISION. Some people have been celebrating/making alternate plans for a week now, and I still don't even know whether or not I'm in. I have to send in my intent to enroll form to W&M with the deposit by Monday as well, so I'll be even more irritated if I play it safe and send in the non-refundable deposit and then find out right at 5 that I was accepted to UVA. I didn't mind at all that some people got to find out their decisions early, good for them, but the disparity between dates seems a mite ridiculous at this point. Some are completed way in advance and some at the absolute last minute? They know exactly when other Virginia schools have their deadlines, and they intentionally overlap them? Come on guys, seriously.

If it helps, UVA says they will post their decisions online by 8 am on May 1, so you don't have to wait until 5 pm to hear.

Did anyone here apply from Mary washington? I'm planning on trying that next year.

I see nothing.

Same here.
